OL Trey Bailey
6-3, 270, 5.0
Byrnes High School
Spartanburg, South Carolina
The 6-foot-3, 270 pound prospect is still awaiting his first offer, but he is getting plenty of early interest from schools around the country.
"North Carolina, Nebraska, Colorado, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Duke, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Marshall, North Carolina State, Yale, Princeton, South Carolina and Charleston Southern are all showing early interest," said Bailey in a recent interview with CUTigers.com.
The Tigers have not shown interest to date but that may change over the next few months.
Bailey, who grew up a big Clemson fan, declined to offer a favorite when asked, "No, I don't have one at this time."
Bailey is anticipating going to see several of the schools recruiting him during spring practice in the coming weeks. "I would like to go to a couple of spring practices. I think I might go up to North Carolina."
Bailey plans to work hard during his senior season to prepare for football at the collegiate level.
"I want to get more physical," said Bailey. "I went back and watched a lot of film. Last year I would do my job blocking people, but it looked like I kind of took it easy. This year I plan to make a name for myself. I want to put them on the ground and finish the blocks."
We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding offensive lineman from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2005.
