Taylor Resting with Clemson Offer

During one of his two Junior Day stops, Marlboro County wide receiver Rendrick Taylor left with his first offer of his very early recruiting season. Which school has risen to the top of this collegiate wishlist?

"I went to Clemson and Coach Bowden said that I had a scholarship offer and he wanted me to come to Clemson," stated 6-2 210-pounder.

Taylor's Junior Day slate also included a stay in Columbia, SC when he attended South Carolina's Junior Day. However, Taylor doesn't include USC among his four favorites, which consist of Clemson, Georgia, Maryland and Tennessee.

When decision time comes, which won't be for a very long time, Taylor will weigh the type of offense and location heavily.

"The way they run their offense and how far my parents have to travel to the games," remarked Taylor.

Schools are looking at Taylor mostly as a wide out, where last year he recorded 28 catches for 803 yards and 11 touchdowns. From his defensive back position, which some coaching staffs are considering him for, Taylor compiled 49 tackles for four interceptions.

We will continue to keep you updated on this big time wide out, right up through signing day 2005.
