SC TE Drawing Interest

Midland Valley standout Adam Hutto will be one of the top tight ends in the Palmetto state for the class of 2005. Who are the schools showing early interest for the talented tight end? Find out the details in this recruiting update.

TE Adam Hutto
6-2, 215, 4.7
Midland Valley High School
Langley, South Carolina

The 6-2, 215-pound prospect, who runs a 4.7 forty, has not received his first offer yet, but that should change over the next few months as several schools are showing early interest.

"Duke, Kentucky, Virginia, Boston College, North Carolina, Furman and Wofford are all showing interest," Hutto told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

"I haven't heard from Clemson or South Carolina yet," added Hutto, but don't be surprised for both in-state schools to join the battle later this spring for the talented tight end.

Hutto had a solid junior season but expects to have an even better senior campaign. "I caught 13 passes last season. I averaged about 10 to 15 yards per catch."

When asked if he has any early favorites, Hutto responded, "Not really. Not at this time."

The South Carolina star tight end has not attended any Junior Days this year so far. "I will probably camp at Duke and Kentucky but I'm not sure yet. I haven't made my plans yet."

Hutto is a well-rounded tight end prospect that may start to receive more attention over the next few months. "My strength is my quickness. I am a pretty good blocker. I also catch the ball fairly well."

The Midland Valley standout plans to work hard his senior season to prepare for his college career. "I want to work on my speed. I want to work hard in the weight room."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding tight end from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2005.
