The bottomline is a good tight end is hard to find, and there doesn't seem to be a plethora of talent in the state of South Carolina this year. Michael Turner out of Snellville, Georgia is a tight end prospect to emerging on the recruiting scene, and he has already set up a visit with the Tigers.

Michael Turner is a tight end prospect to emerging on the recruiting scene.

A tight end emerging on the recruiting scene is Michael Turner. Turner, 6-5 and 250 pounds, plays for Snellville (Ga.) Brookwood High School. According to Turner, he has scholarship offers from Clemson and Arkansas.

"Michigan, Ohio State, Georgia, Ole Miss and Louisville are also recruiting me pretty hard. Right now, I am pretty open. I will visit Ohio State on January 4th and Clemson on January 11th. I am trying to set up a visit with Georgia. I want to pick a place where I feel at home. Plus, I want to play on a team with a winning tradition. I go to Brookwood and that is how I was brought up. I want to win."

On the season, he has 10 receptions for 121 yards and 3 touchdown passes for a team that runs the football a lot more than they pass.

"I am a good blocker and we run most of the time. But I have good hands and I would consider myself a complete tight end."

Turner camped this summer at Michigan. He bench presses 335 and squats 435.
