The 6-2, 190-pound prospect is still waiting for his first offer but several schools are showing early interest. "Clemson, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee are showing interest," McLaughlin told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

When asked if he has any early favorites, McLaughlin responded, " Clemson and Tennessee are my favorites right now."

McLaughlin traveled to Columbia last weekend to enjoy the Junior Day activities at South Carolina. "I went to South Carolina last Saturday. It was okay. I got to see a lot of players practice."

McLaughlin is also making plans to attend several summer camps. "I am going to the Nike camp on May 8. I also want to go to Clemson, South Carolina and one out of state schools, possibly Georgia, Florida or Auburn."

McLaughlin is working hard to prepare for his senior season. "I am practice on squatting. I also want to get my speed up. I want to get the best time I can get."

A commitment could come during his senior campaign. "I might make an early decision before my senior season is over," stated the star defender.

"I can't wait for August to get here. I'm ready for my senior season."
