Tigers a Favorite For Mississippi DB

Vicksburg, Mississippi standout Marcus Harris is getting interest from several of the top programs in the southeast including the Clemson Tigers. Which teams are interested in the talented DB? Who are his early favorites? Find out the answers in this recruiting update.

DB Marcus Harris
5-9, 165, 4.5
Vicksburg High School
Vicksburg, Mississippi

The 5-9, 165 pound defender is still awaiting his first offer but is receiving plenty of interest. "Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Louisiana Tech, Clemson, Georgia and Auburn are all showing interest," Harris told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

When asked if he has any early favorites, Harris responded, "Ole Miss, Clemson and Auburn would be my early favorites."

The Vicksburg High star had an outstanding junior season as a defensive back. "I had 42 tackles, 4 interceptions and 15 passes broken up last season," stated the talented athlete.

"My quickness is one of my strengths. I have to have a mental edge over most people because of my size. If I can't beat them physically I can beat them mentally."

Harris plans to work hard to improve his hitting during his senior campaign. "I want to work on my tackling. It's not poor, but I wouldn't grade out at an A."

Don't expect distance to be a major factor when Harris decides where to play college football. "Like I say whoever offers me, that's where I'm willing to go."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding defensive back from Mississippi, right up through signing day 2005.
