Georgia RB Hearing from the Tigers

Every year at high school football camps throughout the country, there are relative unknown guys who come out of nowhere to make a name for themselves in recruiting circles. One of those individuals at Atlanta's TheInsiders/MSL Combine was running back Stephone LaFrance of Creekside High School.

"My favorite schools are Georgia, Clemson, Tulane, and Georgia Tech. I grew up as a Georgia fan," Stephone LaFrance said.

What stands out about those 4 schools?

Georgia: "I like how they run their offense and how it's close to home."

Clemson: "I don't know too much about them but I talked to their running backs coach on the phone the other day."

Tulane: "Their location. Most of my family all live in Louisiana."

Georgia Tech: "My mom likes Georgia Tech's academics and I do too. I like their team also."

What is most important to LaFrance in picking a school?

"I want somewhere that I can have a chance to play early. I also want a place with a good learning environment."

Often times in making the adjustment from high school to college, it's the little things that can keep a good running back from seeing the field. Stephone feels he's already a bit ahead of the curve on this issue.

"What separates me is that I can block better that most any other running backs."

How did LaFrance enjoy his time at MSL overall?

"It was the first combine I've ever went to and I really enjoyed the experience."

The Fairburn, GA native will attend the Clemson Mini-Camp on May 29th, and plans to camp at Georgia later this summer as well.

Editor's Note: LaFrance played a good bit of fullback as a junior, so when he says he knows how to block, he means it. LaFrance has a superb size to speed ratio, and I think colleges are eager to see what he can do when he gets the ball 20 times a game. I know I am - Scott Kennedy, TheInsiders.com - Southeast.
