McCurdy Planning Clemson Visit

Jersey City (NJ) St. Anthony's junior Sean McCurdy has been busy taking some visits lately. The 6-1 point guard has a slight leader but he's not ready to make any decisions.

Recently, St. Anthony's point guard Sean McCurdy hit the visit trail on his own dime. McCurdy went to Indiana and then College Park to see the Terrapins in a span of a few days.

"When I got home from Indiana, I went to Maryland on Tuesday," McCurdy said. "I really like Maryland a lot. I like the coaching staff."

At this point, it's fair to say Maryland is the ever-so-slight leader. "They really are. You can't really get any bigger than Maryland. As of right now, they're the leader but I'm still wide open. I really liked the conversation I had with Coach Williams. They have a tradition with point guard, not even just point guards but with guards."

Over the Memorial Day break, McCurdy will stop and see a pair of ACC schools. He'll take an unofficial visit to Clemson and then another one to NCAA-runner-up Georgia Tech.

"I'm flattered by all the attention I'm receiving. I've been working my whole life to get to the point where I am now."

In addition to the ACC, a ton of Big East schools, like Connecticut are recruiting McCurdy who averaged 14 points and 7 dimes last season.

McCurdy seems to have a great perspective on the entire process. As to not take himself too seriously, he even dyed his hair for the Kingwood Classic. "It's summer and I needed a new style."

Maybe by the end of July McCurdy will have narrowed his list in time for a fall decision. Top Stories
