Davis Eyeing Several Schools

One thing nobody will ever accuse running back James Davis of is not believing in himself. The Douglass star is brimming with confidence and he has a chunk of offers to testify.

"My top schools are Tennessee, LSU, Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma State and Harvard. I have offers from all of them except Harvard and I'd say Tennessee, LSU, and Clemson are my leaders right now" James Davis said.

Who would Davis compare himself with at the NFL level?

"I think I'm an Edgerrin James clone. I have that speed and power.

What are the most important recruiting factors for the Atlanta RB?

"I'm going to put academics down first, but playing time is also real important."

If you want to sign Davis, it looks like your going to have to have a spot for him to play right away because he does not want to redshirt.

"Did Marshall Faulk play as a true freshman? How about Herschel Walker?...I think I'm just as good as Herschel was and if he didn't have to redshirt then I think I can play too."

If that wasn't bold enough, Davis has also set the bar extremely high with his goals for his senior season.

"I want to rush for atleast 2000 yards and 30 touchdowns. I should pretty much dominate this year."

James has a 3.0 GPA and will take his first crack at the SAT on June 5th. We will continue to keep you updated on James Davis, right up through signing day.
