Interest Growing for South Carolina OL

Camden standout lineman Thomas Austin recently picked up two new offers and several new schools are starting to show interest. What is the current offer list for the powerful lineman looking like these days? Does he have any favorites at this time? Find all the details in this recruiting update.

"I recently got an offer from Wake Forest and West Point. They go with the offers I already have from Clemson, Vanderbilt and South Carolina."

When asked if he has any early leaders at the moment, Austin responded, "I don't have anyone ahead of anyone else. I'm going to all their camps this summer. Maybe by the end of the summer I will have a leader or a list of favorites."

Several new schools are showing interest in the Camden High star. "Clemson, South Carolina and Vanderbilt continue to show the most interest. I'm picking up interest from Penn State and Notre Dame now."

Austin has been working hard to prepare for his senior campaign. "I'm working out and we are just finishing up spring practice. I'm trying to get faster and stronger."

Coaches from Clemson and South Carolina have stopped by practice to watch the talented lineman. "Coach Scott came by practice one day. Coach Stockstill also came by one day."

Will distance play a major role in Austin's decision? "It really doesn't make a difference. I kind of would like to stay within 6 or 7 hours. I really don't want to go farther than that."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding offensive lineman from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2005.
