Celi Named Assistant Women's Soccer Coach

Jessica Celi has been named an assistant women's soccer coach according to Head Coach Todd Bramble Tuesday.

Celi comes to Clemson from Creighton University where she was the first assistant coach during the 2003 season. While at Creighton, she was the Head Coach of the Nebraska ODP U17 girls state team and was on staff with the Region II Olympic Development Program.

Prior to her position at Creighton, she was an assistant at the University of Delaware in 2000-2002.

The High Point, NC native was a two-year starter for Ohio State in 1995 and 1996. She also was a two-year starter for N.C. State in 1997 and 1998. She graduated from N.C. State in 1999 and earned a master's of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Delaware in 2003.

Celi was the commencement speaker for the N.C. State University school of psychology. She also was an Academic All-ACC Award winner in 1998.

She has a very bright future in the sport and has proven to be on the fast track in the coaching profession. Her organizational skills, knowledge of the game and positive energy will be valuable resources for all aspects of our program."
