Chambers Holding Clemson Offer

Pageland Central running back Sadat Chambers is considered by most as one of the top prospects in the state. The 5-10, 185-pound running back has only received one offer to date, but expects more in his mailbox anyday.

"Clemson offered me a couple of months ago," says the 5-foot-10, 185-pounder. "Nebraska, (South) Carolina, and Virginia Tech have been showing me a lot of interest and I think that they might be close to offering too."

Chambers rushed for over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns while pulling double duty as the Eagles' starting free safety. He has his list narrowed to three teams that currently lead for his services.

"Virginia Tech, Clemson, and Nebraska are my leaders," said Chambers. "They are good winning teams and they have great coaches and atmospheres. I'm going to wait until after my season to decide."

Chambers has already attended the Clemson one-day camp and plans to attend South Carolina's football camp in July.

Chambers finished up an outstanding year last year for the Eagles by rushing 13 times for 202 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Class 2A State Championship game against Batesburg-Leesville.

Overall, Central finished the season at 14-1, including a crushing 40-20 win for the state title. Top Stories
