On offense he had 30 receptions for 350 yards, and two touchdowns. Coates has received five offers at this time.

"I got offered by Clemson on Monday and Auburn offered me yesterday," said the defensive back with 4.5-second speed. "I've also got offers from South Carolina, Vanderbilt and SC State." Coates is being as a free safety and is currently leaning to play his college football across the border. North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Michigan, and Georgia Tech have also expressed interest in Coates.

"Georgia is my leader, I like the atmosphere, the campus, and the coaches. The team is like family," Coates said. "I'm going to Georgia's camp on July 8th and 9th."

Coates has busy summer ahead of him as he plans to make some unofficial visits in addition to the Georgia camp.

"I have already been to Clemson and I'm going back to Clemson Sunday for their 7-on-7 camp. I'm going to take a unofficial visit to Vanderbilt on July 18th."

Coates cites academics, coaching staff, and the colleges' atmosphere as the deciding factor in his decision.

"I want to make a decision before the season. I've been talking to my family and we've decided to make a early decision so that I can focus on my team and my grades."
