When asked what impact his teammates commitment will have, the 6-foot-1, 180 pound speedster responded, "It's going to have a lot. We have talked about going to the same school since we were little you could say. We grew up together." "My coach is keeping track of the offers," added McGlaughlin. "Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia and Kentucky are my favorites right now."

Taylor's early commitment is likely to impact the timing of McLaughlin's commitment. "I will probably make an early commitment," stated the Palmetto standout.

McLaughlin has not camped at Clemson yet this year but plans to later this summer. "I'm going to Clemson for a one day camp later this summer. I'm also going to Auburn on July 17."

The prize recruit is working hard to be prepared to lead Marlboro County during his senior campaign. "I have been lifting weights and doing some passing league stuff. We went to Clemson passing league. It was okay. I got real sick down there. We won like 5 games and lost 3 I believe."

McLaughlin, who was an All-State safety last year, had a very impressive junior season. Overall, he finished with 92 tackles, 25 solo and 3 interceptions as a safety. He also had 128 yards as a receiver and 6 blocked field goals.
