Tigers in the Summer Leagues

Rob Key has the latest on what's going on with the Tigers in Summer League action. Tony Sipp, Josh Cribb, Kris Harvey, Travis Storrer and many others are already fine tuning their skills for next season in Clemson.

All leagues have now started playing. The Cape Cod League was the last to start and it started last Thursday.

Cape Cod League
Josh Cribb (Brewster WhiteCaps) Josh has appeared in 1 game and it was a start. He pitched a complete game, one hit shutout, giving up 1 hit, no runs, and striking out 10.

Herman Demmink (Chatham As)
Herman has played in 1 game, apparently as the DH. He has no hits, a .000 batting average and has been hit by one pitch.

Travis Storrer (Chatham As)
Travis has played in 5 games. He has 7 hits in 21 at bats, for a .333 batting average. He has one double, no triples or home runs and 3 RBI. He's walked twice and struck out 3 times.

Tony Sipp (Cotuit Kettleers)
Tony continues to play dual roles as an outfielder and pitcher. As an outfielder, he's played in 4 games and has 2 hits in 11 at bats, giving him a .182 batting average. He has no doubles, triples, or home runs, and 1 RBI. He's walked twice and struck out once and stolen 3 bases. As a pitcher, he's appeared in 2 games and pitched 4 innings.
