S Damien Wright
6-2, 185, 4.46
Crestwood High School
Sumter, South Carolina

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect has not seen any changes to his offer list over the past few weeks. "It's still the same," said Wright in a recent interview with "Vanderbilt, Duke, South Carolina, Clemson, Newberry and South Carolina State have offered." Several schools, including Georgia, Georgia Tech, North Carolina State and Tennessee are showing interest."

When asked who the current favorites are, Wright responded, "It would probably be Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt and South Carolina."

The Tigers will not have to wait long to find out where the South Carolina standout will commit. "I am going to commit after my last camp. I'm going to Georgia on July 9 and 10. After that I'll make my decision. I want to make my decision before the season starts."

Wright has camped at South Carolina this summer but he has yet to camp with the Tigers.

"I went to South Carolina and I had fun up there. I learned a lot. I didn't make it to Clemson yet. It was at a bad time. I will make an unofficial visit up there. Hopefully before I make my decision."

What will the talented defender consider when deciding where to play college football?

"I will look at the atmosphere of the school. I will look at the football program and the coaching staff. I want to be where I am comfortable. I will also consider how my parents feel about me playing there. I also want to go where I can play. I know I will have to fight for a position but I want to go where I have a chance to play."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding defensive back from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2005.
