Hunter has "Conditional" Clemson Offer

Reynaldo Hunter is an anomaly this recruiting season. The Duncan (S.C.) Byrnes wide receiver was the number two option on the Rebel offense last season behind Duke signee Jomar Wright. This off-season, he has shown brightly in spring practice and passing leagues as a go-to receiver. Currently, three teams have offers out to Hunter and two more may offer soon.

"I have offers from Duke, Clemson, and Appalachian State," says the 5-foot-11, 170-pound speedster. "Clemson's offer is depending on two or three 6-4 or 6-5 receivers. They offered me to play defensive back, but I want to play on offense and I have to wait on those guys."

Two other teams Hunter could hear from soon are from out-of-state.

"I am going to the North Carolina camp on the 16th and 17th, and they said if I run a 4.4 or a 4.5 they will offer."

Could Hunter commit soon after that offer?

"Maybe, maybe not. My interest is really with NC State. They are the team to beat now and they are talking about offering. I am going to Wake Forest on Saturday, and I am supposed to be going to one of (North Carolina State)'s camps."

For now, it is just a wait and see game; who will offer and who will commit elsewhere.
