Columbia, South Carolina caught up with the 6-4, 315 pound defender to find out if he had received the test score necessary to join the Tigers in the fall Sunday evening. "I made it. I'm in good shape. I'll be enrolling in August," said an enthusastic Scott.

Clemson fans are now certainly relieved, but the coaching staff was also glad to hear the news.

"They were glad it was over with, just like I was." Dorrel's mother was the most excited about the news. "It seems like she was more excited than I was," added Scott.

Scott is familiar with the Tigers depth chart at defensive tackle and he is looking to compete for early playing time. "Hopefully I will get some early playing time. That's what the coaches are telling me."

The Ridge View standout will begin working out with some of his future Tigers next weekend. "I'm going up Sunday to Clemson for two weeks of training," stated the talented defender.

The powerful defensive tackle has worked hard to stay in shape over the summer. "I'm in good shape. I've been doing workouts trying to stay in shape."

Scott has been keeping in touch with his future teammates over the past few months. "I talked with Elsmore Gabriel and Courtney Vincent. I also talked to Cory Lambert. I think Elsmore is already down there because the last time I called nobody answered the phone."

We will continue to keep you updated on this future Tiger defensive lineman, right up through the first day of practice in August. Top Stories
