OL Quentez Ruffin
6-4, 290, 5.1
Leon High School
Tallahassee, Florida

Florida standout offensive lineman Quentez Ruffin visited Clemson earlier this week with his family, and by all accounts, everything went great.

"It was excellent. The facilities were world class. I can only imagine how it will be when they open the up the West End Zone. I would really like to play there but I need to discuss it with my folks," said Ruffin.

When asked if he left Clemson with a leader, Ruffin responded, "That visit really opened Clemson up as my leader."

The coaching staff stood out for the powerful lineman.

"I really liked Coach Scott. I also liked Coach Burns and Coach Swinney. I didn't get to meet Coach Bowden. They tried to get him on the phone but couldn't. I look forward to meeting him when I come up again."

The offer list is very impressive for the talented lineman.

"Right now I have offers from Clemson, LSU, South Florida, Central Florida, North Carolina State, Kansas State, Louisville, South Carolina and maybe Tennessee. I also have a couple of offers from several smaller schools."

When will Ruffin make a commitment? "Maybe by the end of this week or sometime next week. More than likely by the end of this week."

Ruffin has traveled around the southeast this summer to visit his favorites.

"I went and saw the places I have a lot of interest in over the summer," added the 6-4, 290 pound prospect.

"I went to Florida, LSU, and Georgia. I will base my decision on where I can get the best degree and also look to see who has the highest graduation rate and the depth chart. I want to go where I can play. I could go to Miami or Florida State and not play for three or four years. I want to go where I can play."

Quentez's parents also came away very impressed with the Tigers. "They really liked the visit to Clemson. They liked the coaches. The really liked the athletic support they give to players. My parents also like the visits to Georgia, Florida and LSU but I think they liked Clemson a little more."
