Clemson Commitment Still Thinking Visits?

Tallahassee OL Quentez Ruffin made a verbal commitment to the Clemson Tigers on July 17th. Since that time there has been some speculation that the big man may still want to take some visits. Is this that the case?

"I've already committed to Clemson but I liked Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida State and North Carolina State as well. I know I'll visit Clemson, but I may still take some other officials as well. I want to talk it over with my Clemson recruiter (Dabo Swinney) to make sure there won't be any hard feelings," Quentez Ruffin said.

The Leon HS star has an impressive offer slate.

"I have offers from LSU, South Florida, Central Florida, North Carolina State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kansas State, Michigan State, Louisville and Clemson. I think there are a few more but I can't remember right now." br> If Quentez does indeed decide to take visits, the in-state schools may be the ones to keep an eye on.

"The school I really liked before I committed was Florida. I like Florida State too but their depth chart is real deep. I have been told that the guys they brought in for the OL have struggled though."

How would Ruffin describe his game?

"I'm very athletic. I'm fast and I have real good feet. I also have a good first punch and I like to intimidate the man across from me. The thing I need to work on is perfecting my pass blocking. If you watch me on film I pass block pretty well, but I know that the DE's in college are going to be quicker and I need to prepare for that."

It will be interesting to see what happens with Quentez, especially if the in-state schools decide to offer him a scholarship and he decides to take some officials. TheInsiders will keep you up to date on his situation right up through signing day.
