One Potato, Two Potato...Look Out Boise!

Clemson University has just received word that the football team will be playing Louisiana Tech in the Humanitarian Bowl on December 31, 2001 in Boise Idaho. Seniors Travis Zachery and Woodrow Dantzler will now have one more game to shine as Tigers.

Clemson has been chosen to face Louisiana Tech on Decemeber 31st, in the Humanitarian Bowl. The Tigers were selected over Boise State and Ole Miss.

The Humanitarian Bowl, home of the Boise State Broncos, is the only stadium in the country that has blue astroturf.

"I think I might just let the players go there and see it. (the blue astroturf) Nah, I think most of them already know about it because its such an unusual thing," said Clemson Head Coach Tommy Bowden.

The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN at 12:30 Eastern Time, 10:30 local time.

"Most of my team has come by office already and they are real excited. Most of my players being from South Carolina, Georgia and Florida have never been west of the Mississippi, they are really looking forward to coming," Bowden.

"My last year at Tulane we played Louisiana Tech, so I'm familiar with their players and coaching staff, our offensive styles are very similar. I think its going to be a very exciting game for the people in Boise and the folks on television. Two high powered offenses, and two defenses that have been struggling a little of late should make for an explosive game."

"I can tell you your people back there are really charged about coming. We've already had people buying tickets here in Boise," said Gary Beck, director of the Humanitarian Bowl. Top Stories
