NC LB Down to Clemson & South Carolina

Forest City (N.C.) East Rutherford linebacker Chaz Jackson is gaining interest quickly as teams are learning about the speedy ‘backer, but he has some decisions to make.

"I am looking at most of the teams, Clemson, NC State, Georgia, South Carolina. Mostly all of the ACC teams, and most of the SEC teams," says the 6-foot, 210 pounder. "Preferably, I would like to stay close by to home, but it might be best to go farther."

Distance will play a big factor, but it is not the biggest factor is Jackson's decision. B "Probably playing time. My best chance for that is between South Carolina and Clemson. I feel like I can play with either one of those judging by their classes they are recruiting this year."

Those two teams are a common occurance for Jackson, as the Tigers and Gamecocks are in the lead.

"That's kinda hard to say, but if I really had to say, it would be Clemson and South Carolina. I might commit early, but it depends on other colleges that haven't offered me. I might just commit early so I can get it over with and not have to worry about colleges during the season. Most of the schools wanting me to commit early I have the best chance of playing early.

"Some schools want me at running back, some of them at linebacker, but hopefully I will play linebacker. I feel like I would be able to make it better at that, and my whole goal is to make it to the pros.

"Basically my playing style is I like to hit. I like to be a run stopper because I like to stick my nose in other teams' business." Top Stories
