Denver Broncos defensive tackle Nick Eason was taken by ambulance from Invesco Field at Mile High to St. Anthony's Hospital on Saturday. Eason was treated him for dehydration and is expected to be released on Sunday.
"He got a couple of liters of fluid, which is more preventative than anything," coach Mike Shanahan said.
Eason has been working with the first-team defense, replacing Luther Elliss, who is nursing a hamstring strain, and Dorsett Davis, who is out for the season because of a torn tendon in a finger.
Defensive tackle Donnell Washington, a third-round pick, said he will need to shed "a few pounds" to reach his target weight of 323 pounds. Washington missed the last few days of the June minicamp due to the birth of Donnell Jr. After practice Saturday, Washington said the bouncing baby boy weighs 10 pounds. "Daddy is a little overweight," he noted.
