Top QB Says Official Visit to Clemson is On

Over the summer, Cameron Sexton and family logged around 4000 miles hitting the camp circuit hard. The Laurinburg (N.C.) Scotland County quarterback was rewarded with many new offers. For now, it is time to sit back, relax, and prepare for the upcoming football and recruiting seasons.

"Everything has been kind of quiet. We started camp last week and just gearing up for the season now," says the 6-foot-2, 180 pounder. "I've narrowed it down to five or six. North Carolina State, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Florida State, North Carolina, and maybe Miami in there."

The next step in the process is actually attending the games, both officially and unofficially.

"I don't know if I am going to take all five of my official visits, but I am going to take a bunch. Probably four. I'm not quite sure what schools yet, but Virginia Tech, Clemson, Florida State, I will be officially there."

Sexton has not lined up his official visits, but with his plans to enroll in the January the dates could quickly fill up.

While one campus, Sexton will continue searching for the perfect fit. Having visited each school on the list, perfection seems so tough to find.

"The best fit for me, whatever school it is. I am going through this process looking for the one school that stood out, and one just hasn't. There are a couple good things that I like about every school, there are a couple things that I don't. It is going to be a tougher decision than I thought. So I am just looking for the best quarterback situation for me and where I feel the most comfortable." Top Stories
