Tigers Make Top 4 for Georgia DE

The Clemson coaching staff will likely be watching two stars when they visit Douglass High this fall. Brandon Sesay, one of the top DE prospects in the Southeast, has offers from most of the top programs in the South. Who are the early favorites? Find out the latest in this recruiting update.

The offer list for the 6-foot-5, 245 pound prospect is very impressive through the early stages of the recruiting process. "I have offers from North Carolina State, Clemson, Georgia, Alabama, and Auburn. I actually have offers from most of the SEC," Sesay told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

When asked if he has any favorites, Sesay responded, "Clemson, Georgia, UCLA, and Southern California are my favorites."

Don't expect an early commitment from the Georgia standout. "I'm going to wait. I will probably make my decision after December," stated the prize recruit.

Although a decision will not come until late this year, Sesay does know what he's looking for as he searches for the college of his choice. "First, I will look at how I fit in as a teammate there and I'll also look at academics and consider the coaching staff."

Sesay will be playing both ways for Douglass High this season. "Some schools are looking at me for defensive line and some are looking at me as a tight end. Clemson wants me as a defensive end."

Would the talented athlete like to play college ball with his talented teammate James Davis? "He jokes about it a lot, but I don't know if he's serious. He's really looking at Clemson. He talks about them all the time."

Distance will not be a factor for the Peach State standout. "No not at all. My father lives on the west coast. He lives in Oakland."

Sesay believes the 2004 campaign will be a good one for Douglass High. "We're ready. We've been practicing hard. I was just washing my clothes from practice. We have our first scrimmage this Friday."

The Tigers got their chance to impress the Atlanta standout this summer. "I just camped at Clemson this summer. My summer was so busy I didn't get to go anywhere else."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding athlete from Georgia, right up through signing day 2005.
