Clemson Downs Appalachian State

The Tigers overcame a 6-point second half deficit to put away a pesky Appalachian State team Wednesday evening. Chris Hobbs led the way by scoring 20 points and Ray Henderson added another 16 to go along with 10 rebounds. With the win, the Tigers improved to 6-2 on the season. Clemson's next home game will be this Saturday evening against the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Clemson came back from a 40-34 second half deficit to defeat a scrappy Appalachian State team 76-66 Wednesday night. The Tigers (6-2) used a crucial 18-4 run in the first 10 minutes of the second half to pull away from the Mountaineers (3-4).

Chris Hobbs led the way for Clemson by scoring 20 points.

Ray Henderson chipped in 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Edward Scott added 13 points and seven assists for the Tigers. It was Hobbs' second consecutive 20-point game.

The Tigers continue to play well defensively and in transistion, however they are still struggling from behind the 3-point arc, as they converted only 3 out of 20 attempts Wednesday night.
