The 6-foot-3, 230 pound prospect is receiving the most attention currently from the Tiger(s). "Clemson is my only offer right now, but Auburn is starting to show a lot of interest," said Higgins in a recent interview with CUTigers.com.
When asked if he has any favorites, Higgins responded, "Clemson is really on my mind right now."
Higgins will wait a while before making a decision to see who else offers. "I'm still waiting right now. I'm waiting to see who offers. I don't know when I'll make my decision. It will probably be in the middle of the season or towards the end of the season."
|Higgins recorded 106 solo tackles to go along with two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles in 2003.|
With the end of August now in sight, Higgins' senior season is already well underway.
"We had jamboree last week. I'm kind of rusty because I'm in a new position. I am playing defensive end and linebacker. Last year I played just linebacker. We have a new defensive coordinator and his defense is different. I like linebacker better. You have to be a man to play linebacker."
Higgins plans to get up to see the Tigers sometime this season. "I would like to get up to some of the games," stated the prize recruit.
We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding linebacker from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2005.
