GA WR Checking On Clemson

The Tigers like their receivers to have good size and they don't come much bigger than Georgia standout Jared Cook. CUTigers.com caught up with the 6-foot-5, 210-pound prospect to get the latest on his favorites and his commitment timing.

North Gwinnett High star Jared Cook is still only holding one scholarship offer, but don't be surprised to see that to change as his senior season progresses. "I have an offer from Missouri. Clemson, Georgia, Auburn and Ole Miss are showing interest," Cook told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

College recruiters from around the southeast will be watching the North Gwinnett standout over the next few weeks. "Most of the teams just want to see me play a couple of games," stated the powerful receiver.

Cook with hit the field Friday night to begin his senior campaign. "I'm excited. I just want the opportunity to come out and do my best."

When asked who the current favorites are, Cook responded, "Clemson, Georgia, Auburn and Ole Miss are my favorites."

Don't expect an early commitment for the talented receiver. "I probably will wait until after the season to make my decision. I want to see who offers.

"I went to camp at the Nike camp and also at Georgia this summer. I went to as many camps as I could and I worked out hard in the weight room."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding receiver from Georgia, right up through signing day 2005.
