WR T.J. Williams
6-2, 170, 4.48
Leon High School
The 6-foot-2, 170 pound prospect already has an impressive offer list but he is hoping it will get even better. "I have 8 or 9 offers. Clemson, Georgia, Louisville, Central Florida, Auburn, North Carolina State, South Carolina and East Carolina. Florida State, Miami and Florida are all showing interest," said Williams in a recent interview with CUTigers.com.
When asked who the current favorites are, Williams responded, "Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, North Carolina State and LSU are my top 5 right now."
The Tigers are hoping that current commitment Quentez Ruffin will be able to convince TJ to join him in Tiger Town. "It will probably have an impact on my decision. He keeps trying to get me to commit with him. He's always talking to Coach Swinney all the time. He wants us to be roommates at Clemson. He will probably have an impact."
Ruffin plans to travel to Clemson to see the Tigers play Georgia Tech in a few weeks. Will T.J. join his good friend? "If I can come I will. I'd like to get up there."
Don't expect an early commitment from the prize recruit. "I'm probably going to wait until signing day. If you commit early the other school might offer later. I want to wait and see if FSU and some others offer."
Williams worked hard this summer to prepare for his final season with Leon High. "I went to camps this summer. I also did one on ones with some of the FSU players. I ran track and did summer workouts with the team."
We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding receiver from Florida, right up through signing day 2005.
