Monday Evening Practice Report

The Clemson Tigers returned to the practice fields Monday afternoon in preparation for Saturday's season opener against Wake Forest. As always, has the latest, live from Clemson University.

Coleman in Yellow Today
Running back Duane Coleman was back at practice on Monday, but he is still not expected to be back in a regular season game until later in the season.

Head coach Tommy Bowden said after practice that Coleman dressed out in shorts and shoulder pads, but went through no live drills.

"He's a hard working guy and football is very important to him," said Bowden. "But I'd say it would be hard for him to get back before the third game."

While Coleman continues to be out for the immediate future, the three remaining running backs continue to split time in the backfield.

"All three are getting equal work," said Bowden. "Yusef is probably the starter, but he could still lose that. He probably would be the starter right now though."

Offensive Line Depth Chart
The first team of the Tigers' offensive line looks like this headed into Saturday's game: LT: Jesse Pickens, RT: Marion Dukes, LG: Cedric Johnson, RG: Nathan Bennett, and C: Tommy Sharpe.

"They are the starters today," Bowden said after practice. "We've still got three more days of practice. Somebody could go out there Thursday and blow some assignments and that would jeopardize a couple of positions."

Bowden wouldn't call Chip Myrick "out" for Saturday's game against Wake Forest. Roman Fry is expected to see significant time at right guard, and could be in the game as soon as the second series.
