"It's Definitely Firm"

Belton Honea-Path OL Barry Humphries committed to the Clemson Tigers back in late May. CUTigers.com recently caught up with the senior standout to see how he feels about that commitment as he begins his senior campaign.

OL Humphries
6-3, 291, 4.9
Belton-Honea Path
Belton, South Carolina

When was the first time you went to Clemson?
Humphries: I went to Clemson when I was about 10. I went to see them play against South Carolina, and then I went to summer camp when I was 11.

What did you think the first time you saw Death Valley?
Humphries: It was overwhelming...seeing everybody run down the hill.

Are you looking forward to running down the hill yourself next season?
Humphries: I'm looking forward to it. I can't wait to see what it feels like. The first time will be amazing.

What position do you think you will play at Clemson?
Humphries: I will probably play guard or center.

Have you gone out and bought any Clemson merchandise to wear around school?
Humphries: I already had that kind of stuff. I was just waiting on Clemson to make that offer.

How firm is you commitment to the Tigers?
Humphries: It's definitely firm. I'm not taking any official visits other than Clemson. It's pretty much over.

What would you like to be when your football career is over?
Humphries: I really don't know. If I make the NFL that would be the best thing. That way I could settle down in a small town somewhere and start a family.

We will continue to keep you updated on this future Tiger, right up through signing day 2005.
