TE/DE Moe Thompson Update

We've got the latest on Mr. Football in South Carolina, TE/DE Moe Thompson. Thompson is busy this week preparing for the Shrine Bowl in Rock Hill.

On the year, Moe Thompson, 6'3, 260 lbs, had 70 tackles, 12 tackles for a loss and five sacks on from his defensive end position. On offense, (his preference) he registered 41 catches for 706 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Big Moe is set with four official visits to Clemson, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida State. The Seminoles have been making a late season push for his services, but it has been rumored that Moe has been favoring North Carolina slightly over South Carolina and Clemson over the last few weeks.

Mike O'Cain has been Moe's primary contact from Clemson. Moe has stated that he will wait until after he takes all of his visits to make a final decision. As it stands now, Moe is scheduled to visit Clemson right before signing day.

This season, Moe was known for pummelling players on defense, and incredible acrobatic catches on offense. He is also a solid blocker and can catch anything thrown his way. After the Shrine Bowl, he will turn his attention to the basketball court, where he stars for Stratford High School (17 points/game) as a power forward.
