Nicholson Back from Clemson

In an effort to get a feel for all the schools that he currently lists among his final eleven, Winston-Salem (N.C.) Mount Tabor LB Derek Nicholson unofficially visited Clemson this past Saturday as the Tigers hosted Georgia Tech.

"I haven't been down there so I decided to go down there and check out the game," stated Nicholson. "It was nice, there were a lot of people and it was a great football environment."

Nicholson plans to continue his unofficial visits tour with a stop in Chapel Hill this upcoming weekend, to see Georgia Tech in action once again, but this time against his father's alma mater North Carolina.

After his trip to Chapel Hill, Nicholson figures to sit down and weigh the pros and cons of his final eleven schools (Virginia, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida State, Clemson, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Michigan, and Miami) in an effort to come up with the five schools the 6-foot-1, 228-pound four-star prospect will officially visit.

"I'll be looking at how I feel with the school, how comfortable I am with the situation they have there, the facilities they have there at the schools," remarked Nicholson. "I'll mark down what I like about each school and what schools stand above the others."

On the prep scene, Mount Tabor is 4-0, while a Nicholson lead defense has only allowing 15.0 points-pre-game. The four-year starter has eclipsed 500 total tackles on his high school career. Top Stories
