OL David Davis Update

An enormous junior college prospect out of Hamilton, Mississippi visited Clemson this past weekend. We've got the latest on another big offensive lineman looking at the Tigers.

Offensive Lineman David Davis, out of Hamilton, Mississippi (Itawamba Junior College) visited Clemson this past weekend and really enjoyed the trip.

"The town of Clemson is a very nice place. I had some great conversations with the coaches, Coach Tommy Bowden and Coach West. My decision will come later this week between Clemson and Memphis," says Davis.

Wednesday is the very first day for mid-season transfers to sign with a school, and Davis says he expects to reach a decision by then. He has also visited Southern Miss, UAB, and Memphis. Davis will be probably be used as an offensive tackle on the next level.

David has great size at 6'5 and will probably be able to add some weight to his 280 lb. frame. He has good footwork and moves around very well for a big tackle. He certainly would be a welcome addition to the 2002 class, although I think it is unclear at this point if he could come in a be a difference-maker immediately.

We will have the latest on David Davis as we receive more information.
