Trojans, Tigers Lead for Sesay

Brandon Sesay is a name that wasn't that well known a few months ago, but all that has changed since the season began. Sesay, an athletic, rangy and quick defensive end out of Atlanta, has quickly made a name for himself.

In only his second year of football, he has eight sacks in four games and has reached double digits in offers. A new team has come calling and now leads for his services. Who is the new leader for Sesay and what does the future have in store?

"USC called today," said Sesay. "They called both my coach and me and have requested film, and they may be getting ready to offer me."

"I love the west coast and they are now my leader."

Sesay took a trip to Clemson for their game against Georgia Tech earlier this year. Did that trip leave a good impression?

"Yes, it did…I had a great time. It was my first experience at a game and I really enjoyed it. I was able to meet the coaches, see the campus, and I was able to watch a great football game on top of that."

Does Clemson make it into his top five?

"After Southern Cal, it would be Clemson, Georgia, Auburn and Minnesota. Florida is another team I am looking at, but they are not in my top five right now."

Sesay will take all his official visits and enjoy the recruiting process before making his decision. He has been to Clemson, and he plans to be in Athens on October 9th when Georgia hosts Tennessee. He doesn't have any other unofficials set at this point, but he would like to head back to Clemson and then check out Georgia again when they host Georgia Tech later in the year.

This dominant defensive end has taken advantage on the same line as Roderick Battle this year (The Nation's Best Defensive Line?). Brandon says, "Roderick plays strong side DE, so I get a lot of one on one match ups and I try to take advantage of that." Both Battle and Sesay will have their shot to play in front of multiple college coaches Friday night when Douglass hosts Morrow. Coach Barnes (Clemson), Coach Garner (Georgia) and Coach Price (Auburn) are all supposed to be on hand at Lakewood.

Sesay will not have a commitment any time soon, but his offer list will continue to grow throughout the season, so make sure you stay tuned to for all the latest on this Peach State Prep Star. Top Stories
