The 4-star defensive end led Douglass High to another impressive victory last weekend. "We played real good. I played okay. We won 40-6 and I had about 5 tackles. We didn't get to play that much because of the score," said Battle in an interview with CUTigers.com.

When asked who the current favorites are, Battle responded, "Clemson, Georgia and Auburn are on top."

Battle visited Death Valley earlier this year to see the Tigers battle the Jackets. "I'm not sure when I will go to another game. Next week we play on Saturday so I won't be able to go anywhere."

College coaches are flocking to Douglass High this season to see the 6-4, 245 pound prospect and his teammates James Davis and Brandon Sesay. "We have talked about playing together but nothing too serious."

The Georgia standout will make his commitment when he's confident about his decision. "As soon as I feel like I'm 100 percent sure. I'm not sure when that will be," said Battle.

Coach Burns is recruiting Battle and his talented teammates for the Tigers. "He called last Thursday night. He just talked about their game and wanted to check in to see how I was doing.

"I didn't get a chance to see the Clemson game this weekend. My little brother plays on Saturday's."

Battle is not sure where he will commit, but he does know what he will consider when making that crucial decision. "I will look at how comfortable I feel around the coaches. I will also look to see if I'll be able to play early."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding defensive end from Georgia, right up through signing day 2005.
