Top SC OL Back From Clemson

Greer (S.C.) High School offensive lineman Devon Dawson attended Clemson's non-conference battle with Utah State this past Saturday to soak in Death Valley's atmosphere and check on the status of a possible scholarship offer.

"No, not yet," stated Dawson in regards to leaving Clemson with an offer. "They told me that they will be keeping an eye on me and watching out for me."

Dawson, who claims an offer from South Carolina State, might not have to wait too much longer to receive his second tender. Tennessee has been in contact with the two-star lineman and has been giving him some positive feedback.

"I have been talking to [the Tennessee] coaches," explained Dawson. "They are telling me to make sure I get my ACT scores and that way he can look at what he can do,"

Dawson, who owns a 6-foot-4, 300-pound frame, has been an earthmover for Greer High School's rushing attacking this year helping them reach a 6-2 record against some tough competition.
