WR T.J. Williams
6-2, 170, 4.48
Leon High School
The 6-foot-2, 170 pound prospect has helped lead Leon High School to a strong start this season. "We are 4-2 on the season and on our way to the playoffs. Last week I had six catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns," said Williams in a recent interview with CUTigers.com.
Overall, the senior wide out has 30 catches and six touchdowns on the season.
On the recruiting front, four schools currently stand out the most to Williams, "Clemson, Florida State, South Carolina and North Carolina State are the leaders," he said.
Williams also added that he'd like to play for "home team," but Florida State has not offered. "I'm going to wait it out. I'm waiting to see if they offer."
The Tigers will get their chance to impress T.J when he visits Death Valley in November. "Me and Quentez are coming up in November to see the South Carolina game," stated Williams.
Quentez Ruffin is working hard to get his teammate to join him in Tiger Town next season. "He talks about Clemson every day to me. He talks about them in class. He gives me some good points you could say."
Coach Swinney is also working hard to get the prize recruit to Clemson.
"He called last week. He says he still wants me to come up to Clemson. He says they have a young team. I would have a chance to play early. I'm looking for early playing time.
"I am taking an official visit to Clemson. Quentez and I are coming up on January 14."
We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding receiver from Florida, right up through signing day 2005.
