Higgins Still Talking Commitment?

Greenwood LB Alonzo Higgins attended yet another Clemson football game this past weekend. For the 6-foot-3, 230-pounder it isn't a matter of getting to know the atmosphere, it's a matter of getting accustomed to it.

"I just kind of want to get used to the environment," "It's the same thing really [each visit]: I'm excited every time I talk to them. It feels good to know a team and coaches and a staff want to take a chance on me. I didn't really think that a school would take a chance with me with my grade history."

The way Higgins talks about the Tigers one would think the Scout.com three-star prospect is ready to commit, and he is – sort of.

"I'm still thinking about it," explained Higgins. "I'm going to wait. I talked it over with my cousin [former South Carolina offensive lineman Andre Spearman] and I'm going to wait until the Shrine Bowl probably. I want to wait to see what other schools are going to show me interest. My cousin called me the other night; he said that [South] Carolina said they are going to offer me the same thing Clemson offered me."

Higgins is supposed to continue his unofficial visits with a trip to Columbia in the upcoming weeks with his cousin to get a better look at the Gamecocks.
