Davis Sets Official Visit to Clemson

One of the country's most recruited players is James Davis of Atlanta, Ga. Davis has around sixty written scholarship offers right now and is trying to get it down to a final five.

He has four visits scheduled as of today and three or four teams are battling for the fifth one. Who does Davis plan to visit and who is he considering for the last one?

"I have four visits set right now," said James Davis. " Virginia Tech (11/27), Clemson (12/3), Mississippi State (1/14) and Tennessee (1/21). I am not sure about the fifth one yet, but it could be Alabama, Georgia, Auburn or maybe Florida."

Does Davis have a leader?

"I am not ready to name a leader right now, but if I had to pick someone, it would be between Tennessee and Virginia Tech."

Davis plans to take all five official visits, but he does say, "If I get on a visit and feel like this is the place for me, then I could go ahead and commit."

Davis led the Astros of Douglass to a first round play off victory last week over East Coweta 32-27. Davis had 30 carries for 303 yards and 3 touchdowns. He broke off touchdown runs over sixty, eighty yards and then stuck one in from a yard out. He now has gone over the 2,300 yard mark this year and has twenty six touchdowns.
