Tigers Pull Even with Dollar

Lavarus Dollar has been one of the primary factors in the Dublin Irish returning to their winning ways of the past this season. In return, Dollar has garnered four scholarships already for his efforts, and he appears close to adding some more. Who's still under consideration for his signature?

"The same people really. I like South Carolina, Clemson, Georgia and Florida. Ball State, ECU, MTSU and Louisville are the ones that have offered me," Lavarus Dollar said.

Two teams have leaped out front so far.

"South Carolina and Clemson are neck and neck right now. With South Carolina, I just think I can go there and make an impact when I get there. Coach Stockstill is recruiting me for them and I like what he says. At Clemson, I think I can make an impact there right off the bat also. Coach Hines is the one recruiting me Clemson and he says some real good things too."

What is he looking for in a school?

"I want to get some playing time wherever I go but redshirting doesn't matter to me. I also want some good coaches and to feel like I fit in wherever I go."

Has he set any official visit plans at this time?

"I visit Ball State the 2nd weekend of December and I'm trying to get one in December for Clemson also. I know I visit South Carolina in January."

Dollar and the Irish had a successful first weekend in the GHSA playoffs.

"We beat Cook County last week in the first round. I think I had about 12 tackles and 115yds on six carries."
