There are currently five favorites for 6-0, 230 pound prospect Avery Vogt from Coral Reef High School in Miami, FL. "I don't have a leader, but I do have a top five. Auburn, North Carolina State, West Virginia, Clemson and probably Florida would be my top five right now," said Vogt in a recent interview with CUTigers.com.

What does he like about each school?

Auburn: "They have a good program. They have a real good football program."

North Carolina State: "I know a lot of the players there. They recruit a lot down south. They have a good defensive program."

West Virginia: "I am real close with the coaches. One of the coaches use to work at USF when I went to camp there."

Clemson: "I like the coaches. When we talk they are real cool. I like the football program. Clemson did beat Miami. They get a lot of props for that."

Will the coaching change at Florida have any impact on his decision? "I don't know," said Vogt. "I spoke with the coaches and they know they will lose some recruits but they still will have a great class. They will also get a good coach because of the program."

The star linebacker does not plan to make a commitment until close to signing day. "I haven't taken my visits yet. I want to take my visits first. Then I'll make a decision in late January."

Vogt is starting to setup his official visits now that his season is over. "I have scheduled one to Auburn and one to North Carolina State. I do plan on taking one to West Virginia. I haven't setup a date with Clemson yet, but I do plan to visit."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding linebacker from Florida, right up through signing day 2005.
