OL Jon Walko

How did WVU's loss to Boston College affect the recruiting visit of offensive lineman Jon Walko?
"The visit went good, and it was everything I expected it to be," the 6-6, 290-pound offensive lineman said after returning to his Maryland home. "Even though they lost, it was pretty intense."
The visit was Walko's first for a game at West Virginia, but was not the first time he checked out the home of the Mountaineers. Walko and his parents were at WVU for a spring practice earlier this year, but this time the visit was a family affair. The big lineman, his parents and two younger brothers all made the trip to campus, and he was not disappointed in the visit.
"I got to talk to Coach Stewart for a few minutes, but they were busy getting ready for the game," Walko related. "We had a good visit."
Now that Walko has visited all his favorites, the tough part comes. He says it is still West Virginia, Virginia Tech and Clemson as his top three, with no school holding an advantage.
"Now it's sitting down and thinking it over," Walko said. "I'll be talking it over with my family too. I might take visits back to the schools again - I'll just have to see how it works out. I don't have a timetable for making a decision, but I don't think I'm going to drag it out until February."
Walko visited Clemson earlier this year for the Tigers' 10-7 win over Maryland.
