Ga Tech Commit Visiting Clemson

College Park (GA) WR/DB Carlos Thomas (5-11, 170, 4.4) still says he's committed to Georgia Tech solidly over Clemson, Ohio State, LSU and Maryland.

"I want to take several more official visits to see if I've made the right choice on my commitment to Georgia Tech," says Thomas, from Banneker. "It's pretty much a playing time issue with them, and that's why I'm committed. The coaches there tell me that I can come in right away and start. I really like coaches (Chan) Gailey, (Buddy) Guy (WRs) and (Tommie) Robinson (TEs) a lot.

"But I'm also really cool with the coaching staff at Clemson. They get their playmakers the ball, and that's pretty much what I'm looking for. That school let's the ball loose on its WRs. Coach (Burton) Burns (RBs) is a cool guy and he seems like he'll be staying on.

"Ohio State is basically a winning program. They'll play you on both sides of the ball, and that's what I like about them the most. They've also got some good speed on defense.

"LSU also gets the ball to their playmakers. I like its location too. Louisiana is a great state. They've got Mardi Gras in New Orleans and the food there is great."

Other offers for's #10 CB include Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Arkansas and Louisville.

Thomas will officially visit Ohio State this weekend (11/20), Clemson (12/3), LSU (1/15), Georgia Tech and Maryland.
