Tigers Backing Off Wide Out

Jared Cook, one of the top receivers in Georgia, has completed his senior season and now he waits to see if his offer list will grow. CUTigers.com has the latest on Cook; including his official visit plans and where he stands with the Tigers.

The senior campaign is finished for the 6-5, 210 pound prospect. "We are done. We lost in the second round of the playoffs," said Cook in a recent interview with CUTigers.com. Cook finished his final season with 37 catches for over 800 yards and 10 touchdowns.

The Gwinnett High standout is hoping the offer list may grow as signing day approaches. "I'm still waiting to see who offers," Cook said.

The Tigers appear to have backed off the star receiver. "I haven't heard from Clemson in a while," stated Cook. The Georgia Bulldogs are one of the teams that continues to express interest.

When asked who his current leader is, Cook responded, "Mississippi State is still my leader."

Don't expect a commitment any time soon from the Suwanee standout. "I will probably wait until February to make my decision. I want to wait to see who offers."

The official visit tour is beginning to take shape for the star receiver. "I will be taking an official visit to Mississippi State and Georgia. I am still deciding on the others."

Now that football season is over the talented athlete will be hitting the hardwood. "I am playing basketball now. I am playing power forward."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding receiver from Georgia, right up through signing day 2005.
