The 6-foot-4, 195 pound prospect enjoyed his visit to the Valley on Saturday. "It was a real good game. I was very impressed with the way Clemson played," said Coates.

The Greenwood standout knew the Clemson fans would show in mass to support the Tigers. "They have a great crowd. They always get into the game."

Coates was in a good position to see the fight that broke out in the 4th quarter. "It was an eye catcher. It wasn't a big deal. It just came from the intensity."

When asked if he is still firm with his commitment, Coates responded, "Yes sir, but I'm planning to take some other visits."

The Tigers will be the schools that get a chance to sway the South Carolina star athlete during an official visit. "I am planning to visit Georgia, Clemson and Carolina. I will visit Clemson on January 21."

What would it take for one of the Palmetto schools to pull even with the Dawgs? "I would say whatever it takes. If they feel they can show me something I will listen."

The Georgia standout was impressed with what he saw about the WestZone. "It's heading in the right direction. It's a great way to start. It's going to be real nice."

Coach Blackwell and Coach Lovett spoke with Coates on the sidelines before the game. "They were just telling me to make sure to keep them in mind. They wanted me to know how much they would love to have me," added Coates.
