"I am heading up to Virginia Tech Friday," said James Davis.
"I want to see the campus, talk to the coaches and just see how I feel up there. It is my first official and I am looking forward to it."
Virginia Tech has been one of the leaders for Mr. Davis the last month or so. Is that still the case?
"Virginia Tech and Tennessee are still my top two right now."
Mississippi State and Clemson were two other schools that had official visits set up with Davis. Does he still plan to visit those two?
"As of now, I plan to visit Clemson on December 3rd, and I don't think I will visit Mississippi State."
What other schools are being considered by Davis?
"Everyone knows I will visit Tennessee, but I am not sure on the date yet. I also know I will visit Georgia officially, but am not sure on that date either. The fifth visit could go to Auburn or Alabama, I am not really sure yet."
Davis rushed for over 2,300 yards and 26 touchdowns this season for the Douglass Astros. He also had a couple kick off returns for touchdowns.
James Davis has sixty-one written offers and is one of the most coveted backs in the country. He is a strong back that has good speed and great vision, but the best stat for Davis is, he is qualified academically.
