Boise State offensive coordinator Chris Peterson has not been contacted by Clemson coach Tommy Bowden or anyone from the Tigers staff concerning the offensive coordinator position at Clemson, he told CUTigers.com Thursday afternoon.
He even took it a step farther by asking CUTigers.com to "spread the word" that he's not leaving Boise State and that he's a "west coast guy."
Peterson has turned down similar jobs with Oregon, Oregon State, and California in recent years.
Florida offensive coordinator Larry Fedora continues to be a candidate, but it's most likely he will go to Illinois to continue to coach under Ron Zook, who is the top candidate for the Illini job.
Utah offensive coordinator Mike Sanford is another person Bowden has an interest in CUTigers.com has learned. However, he is believed to be the leading candidate to replace Urban Meyer, should Meyer accept the job at Notre Dame and Utes defensive coordinator Kyle Whittingham gets the job at BYU.
