Dabo Swinney Doing It Again

"Gino" Hayes says Clemson is moving up his list in a major way. <BR>

Clemson assistant coach Dabo Swinney visited with Madison County 5-star linebacker Eugene Hayes earlier today. The Florida standout was very impressed with something Coach Swinney brought to show him.

"Coach Swinney came by my school today. It went good. He showed me some stuff I wanted to hear. He showed me some stuff about their depth chart. I have seen a real good picture," said Hayes.

As it stands now, the Tigers appear to have gained a lot of ground with the star linebacker. "It puts them up there. I liked that. I really hadn't seen that," added Hayes.

Clemson will likely get one of the three official visits for Hayes. "I have one scheduled for Tennessee. I know I am going to visit Auburn. I think I will visit Clemson. Me and my mom are thinking about it. That would be it."

When asked if who is the current leader, Hayes responded, "Auburn is still my leader."

The depth chart at Auburn and the impressive linebacker class they already have committed may impact his decision. "They have a real strong linebacker class. If they sign too many, there's no reason to go there."

What will it take for Clemson to take the lead over Auburn? "Not much," stated the prize recruit.

Hayes expects to decide within the next week if he will visit Clemson. "I told him I would tell him by next Friday if I will take an official visit to Clemson. He is coming back next Friday to watch me in the State Championship game."
