Jamie Robinson, a 6-1, 175 pound cornerback prospect had a visit from the Virginia Tech coaching staff today, and by all accounts, it made quite an impression. "Virginia Tech came by my home. It went pretty good. We sat down and talked about the school and what would go on if I went up there," said Robinson.

As it stands now, Virginia Tech has joined the list of favorites for the prize recruit. "We've been up for the Virginia game. I liked it up there."

When asked if he has a leader, Robinson responded, "I really don't have a leader still, but Virginia Tech is up there now with Florida State and Clemson.

"I plan to take official visits to Virginia Tech, Florida State and Clemson. Those are the only ones I will take."

The Northwestern standout plans to wait as long as possible to make a decision. "I probably will make my announcement on signing day," Robinson added.

Clemson recruiting coordinator David Blackwell is working hard to keep the Tigers among the favorites. "Coach Blackwell called me tonight. He was just checking up on me. He said he would see me next week at the Shrine Bowl."

Robinson, along with Conway defensive lineman Hivera Greene, is one of the top remaining prospects on the board from the state of South Carolina for the Tigers. We will continue to keep you updated on his recruitment, right up through signing day 2005.
